This course includes the characteristics of HbA1c; factors that can affect the test results for HbA1c; intermediate indicators of glycemic control; pathologic conditions with which both HbA1c and GA were strongly associated; impacts of hemoglobin concentration, the erythropoietin dose, and serum albumin on both HbA1c results and GA levels; the contrasting HbA1c results and GA levels in a study of patients with advanced CKD; and interferences on GSP/GA that may result in a higher GA.
