This course discusses the background for this article, including the findings of previous studies; the criteria for selecting patients for this study; testing for serum HLA Ab, sCD30, and DSA positivity; the risk of graft loss during the first 3 post- transplant years; a diagnostic tool to differentiate between harmful and harmless DSA; the type of DSA that was detected in only 5 of the 58 sCD30 positive high-risk patients; and the graft survival rates between pre-transplant DSA positive, sCD30 negative patients and DSA negative patients.
